Pilates

Pilates is about connecting to your body using a mindful, nuanced approach. Signs of an authentic pilates class will involve awareness of the basic principles such as breathing, pelvic placement, placement of the rib cage, scapula, head/neck, and spinal articulation. Our classes are designed to be progressive, meaning in every class we work on the foundational elements that set pilates apart from the myriad of fitness classes available today. Pilates is a tried and true method that works. At our studio, our instructors are trained & certified in the STOTT PILATES method.

Pilates Reformer Open Level

Our open level classes are mixed level classes that are catered to the people in the room. This class is appropriate for those with some prior reformer experienced and those with extensive experience.

Beginners Reformer

Learn the foundations of reformer, while also getting a full body workout. Strengthen the core, improve balance and enhance joint stability. This class is perfect for beginners, but is not easy by any means. This is a great place to start even if you consider yourself fit or active. It’s important to learn the foundations!

Intermediate Reformer

Designed for individuals who have a solid understanding of the essential repertoire and basic principles of Pilates. This class is ideal for those who have previously participated in reformer classes and are ready to take their skills to the next level. In this dynamic environment, we will build upon foundational exercises, introducing new movements that emphasize coordination, stamina, and control. Participants can expect to engage in a variety of challenging sequences that not only enhance strength but also refine technique and body awareness.

Pilates Mat

Our studio features the STOTT PILATES® method as a foundation for our classes, which is the contemporary approach to the classical method created by Joseph Pilates. STOTT PILATES®  is one of the safest methods of pilates, and focuses on restoring the natural curves of the spine with emphasis on functional breathing, pelvic and rib cage placement, scapular mobility and stability, and cervical placement.

If that all sounds intimidating, not to worry! What this means is you will experience a full body musculoskeletal conditioning workout that strengthens and lengthens. Modifications are always available, making this method accessible to all.

Cardio & Core Reformer

The same strength training you love with reformer, but now add in cardio! This class uses the cardio tramp, which is a trampoline type apparatus that is put in place of the foot bar. This workout is low impact for your joints, but high benefit for calorie burning & strengthening. This class is SO fun and simply has to be experienced to describe it.

Chair/Reformer Combo

This innovative class utilizes both the stability chair and the reformer to enhance your workout, providing a diverse range of exercises that challenge your body in unique ways.In this session, you'll engage in a variety of movements that focus on alignment, control, and precision, all while promoting proper breathing techniques. The chair offers a compact and versatile platform, allowing you to perform exercises that target your entire body, from foundational movements to advanced sequences. Meanwhile, the reformer adds resistance and support, enabling you to deepen your practice and improve muscle strength.Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced practitioner, our certified instructors will guide you through modifications and progressions tailored to your individual needs.
